you are a pathetic excuse for a man/husband/father/uncle/human being. you have taken so much from me over the years. my innocence. my ability to fully trust anyone. what should have been happy childhood memories. you have been present in all of my relationships, whether it was a friendship or a romantic relationship. you have destroyed any semblance of what i thought an uncle should be.
i have been angry with you for so long and i will not allow you to control me any more.
i choose to forgive you by doing this. i free myself from the bond i had with you through hatred, anger and resentment. i take my power back and gain the freedom that only forgiveness can bring. you cannot hurt me and you cannot control me. i forgive only for myself.

Good for you! Nobody should let another person's actions ruin their life. I'm sorry for your heartache and pain all these years and I hope this is a freeing experience for you because you deserve to be free. I love you Jessica and if I could take away all the hurt you have gone through in your life, I would in a heartbeat. We can't control what happens in our lives, we can only control our reaction to what happens. Love you.
