walmart must be the breeding ground for bigotry

today was a fantastic day! until it wasn't. we went to story time with uncle matthew and little matthew and auntie cheyenne. then we went to xoom juice and got a yummy shake! after that, i decided to kill some time at walmart before going tanning. so off to walmart we went. we were walking around and some lady came up to me and was telling me how cute jordan was and if he was mine:
me - "thank you! yes, he's mine."
bigot - "you should be ashamed of yourself for having a mixed baby all alone. you'll never be able to raise him the way he deserves to be raised."
me - (with a shocked look on my face and my hand poised to smack her stupid face) "excuse me?!?"
bigot - "you'll never be able to raise him in the kind of environment he needs to be a well rounded person."
me - "and what was your parent's excuse for raising such a miserable human being? you should be the one who is ashamed. get out of my way."

she looked at me like i just said the most horrible thing anyone could say to a person. yea. i went straight to my car where i cried. i can't believe that people are still like this. i mean, i knew they were - i just didn't know that i would be a target. ridiculous. and i know when he gets into school, someone is going to say something stupid like that to him and that's gonna break my heart.

  1. I really hope that by the time he gets into school, those kind of people will be in nursing homes, or dead. I'm so sorry you had to deal with that. You should have punched her in the throat.
